Crime in PROGRESS? CALL 911!

If you see something suspicious:

Write down a description of the suspicious person(s). Height, weight, age, clothing, complexion, tattoos, whatever you notice. Also, the make, model, color and license plate number of the vehicle.

CALL the Houston Police Department Dispatch (713) 884-3131 OR 311 and they will send a patrol officer to investigate.

What is suspicious?

Basically anything that seems even slightly "out of place" for the area or the time of day or night.

What should you report?

Every report generated by HPD in our area gives the potential of more patrolling in the neighborhood. In addition it also lets other homeowners know what is going on and what to look for.

You can e-mail us your security issues and we will send out to everyone.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR CITIZENS ON PATROL

In the past our area had experienced an increase in burglaries of houses, burglaries of cars, car thefts and other crimes. Since the induction of our Citizens on Patrol we have seen a decrease in crime.

To continue to keep our neighborhood safe we are re looking for volunteers who are able to patrol the neighborhood for a minimum of 3 to 4 hours per month. There will be training involved. The COP participants responsibility is only to observe and report situations (without intervening) that require emergency responses by the police.

We can make this program a reality but we need citizen volunteers.
